Core Gameplay Loop

Urban Restoration Planner centers on a repeating cycle of exploration and preparation. Players move through a partially collapsed city, collecting salvageable materials and identifying structures that can be reinforced. Between cycles, a central shelter serves as a hub for upgrading equipment and expanding the safe zone. The cycle resets after each attempt, but progress carries over through permanent upgrades, creating a satisfying sense of long-term growth.

Resource Gathering & Allocation

Success depends on how well you manage limited supplies. Wood, metal, and food are the primary resources, each used for different upgrades. You must decide whether to stockpile for future cycles or spend immediately to strengthen defenses. Hidden caches and shortcuts reward careful exploration, while risky areas offer higher returns for those who plan their route. Balancing short-term needs with long-term goals is the central challenge.

Shelter & Upgrade System

The shelter acts as your command center. Here you can improve walls to withstand more damage, unlock new rooms that provide passive bonuses, and craft tools that make resource gathering more efficient. Each upgrade requires specific materials, encouraging you to prioritize which improvements matter most. The shelter also serves as a safe place to review your progress and plan the next cycle without pressure.

Adaptive Perk System

At the start of each cycle, a random selection of perks becomes available. These temporary boosts might increase carrying capacity, reveal hidden resources on the map, or speed up construction. Because the perks change each time, no two playthroughs feel identical. This system encourages players to experiment with different strategies rather than relying on a single approach. Learning to adapt to the perks you receive is part of the fun.

Visual & Audio Atmosphere

The game uses a clean, colorful art style that keeps the experience lighthearted despite the setting of urban decay. Buildings are stylized rather than realistic, and the interface is easy to navigate. Background music shifts between calm exploration themes and slightly more urgent tones when resources run low.
